Nes makes his announcement at the 1 hour and 6 minute mark.

DJ Nasty Nes, who passed away February 2025, was the first radio DJ on the west coast to play hip hop in regular rotation (KFOX on AM radio). In this episode, broadcast on September 14, 1997, Nes announces that he would be leaving the show to work in the music industry in California. Nes was/is a big figure in the Seattle hip hop scene, both as a producer and promoter (NASTYMIX and Crazy Pinoy Promotions). He will be missed.

This broadcast was recorded live to cassette and is unedited. There are song skips where I pressed pause and unpause to record. This was on purpose to capture Nasty Nes' announcement and record the live DJ sets.

This show features DJ B-Mello, Mr. Supreme aka Supreme La Rock, and DJ DV ONE.

Recorded via Serato from a Denon DN-T620 CD/Cassette combo player. Trimmed and exported using Audacity. I did not fix any audio fidelity or levels in post.
