In the world of entertainment industry Motoyemali Da Dj is a Male Gqom Guru Dj known for dropping the best gqom tunes on the decks.
Keeping my work unique first of all is sticking or specialising in one Gentre which is obviously Gqom as am known as The "One Play Gqom Man". In addition to that I make sure I have the latest Dj toolz and try possible hard to get the greatest tunes that make my crowd dance through out my set.
My greatest achievements as a local Dj is that from the short period of joining the industry I was able to build my brand which gives me an income daily without having to wait for a booking to pay me.
I was also able to secure bookings in Local and International Events such as The Epic Gig, The Summer Festival, MegaSound Picnic to name only a few locally, sharing the stage with Mighties at first it was a greatest Archivement... not to forget the outside bookings such as The Winter Shutdown at Durban Nul Lougue, The Youth Festival in Namibia. If I were to count one by one my achievements in this industry am sure I would publish a Novel.
When it comes to the fashion industry, it may sound funny how I came up with the One Play Clothing Brand, well the "One Play" as mentioned earlier is taken from the fact that I play/specialise in One Gentre and as I entered the industry I liked printing t-shirts written my name Motoyemali but as time went on a friend of mine suggested that I make a Logo as he is a Graphics Designer he made it for me and I added some features in suggestion. After having the Logo the rest was history as I started designing different merchandise for me to look good on Stage and for commercial.
As a local clothing brand owner competition has never been my challenge because my customers are my Fans and Followers so to keep up with business for me I make sure am designing unique designs that are in-line with current trends, or maybe spice what I see around.
My word of advice to aspiring youth clothing designers would be "If you dream it, you can have it.
Designing is all about confidence once you are confident that you can be a designer you surely a designer and no matter how small it may start, your destiny is determined by your passion."
