Born in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, Pete Pilgrim's sonic journey began in 2008 amidst the vibrant Hip Hop cyphers that sparked his passion for Boom Bap beats. As his artistry evolved, he drew inspiration from the timeless soul of 70s to early 2000s RnB and Soul, infusing his Deep House productions with vintage vibes and modern edge.

The enigmatic A.C.E (Arm Coat Ensemble) project, launched in 2015, allowed Pete Pilgrim to push boundaries and explore new sonic territories. With a knack for reworking tracks, he's collaborated with notable artists like Deni Dezier, Kola Kube, Korablove, Yui Onodera and TxOne, delivering remixes that showcase his unique touch. As co-founder of Shroom Music, Pete Pilgrim has been instrumental in shaping the label's underground sound.

His 2016 debut EP, Salvage, marked a pivotal moment in his career, cementing his position in the South African underground music scene.

Beyond music, Pete Pilgrim is a passionate farmer, overseeing a thriving poultry farm and cultivating crops that bring him closer to the earth. He's also an avid photographer, capturing life's moments through his lens. In his spare time, he shares his knowledge and passion for music production, teaching the next generation of producers.
