on my journey as a DJ and how I have grown in the industry.My name is Mondli and I hail from the township of Tembisa in South Africa. Music has always been an integral part of my life, from childhood to adolescence. Growing up, I found solace and joy in the melodies that resonated within my surroundings. However, it was not until 2005 that I discovered my true passion for DJing, an art form that would ultimately shape my future.During that period, I stumbled upon a set performed by the renowned South African DJ Rocco Rodemal. Rocco's ability to effortlessly blend various genres and create a harmonious musical experience left an indelible mark on my soul. Inspired by his skill and passion, I made the decision to embark on a musical journey of my own.Armed with an insatiable hunger for knowledge, I began to scout for any opportunity that would allow me to learn the intricacies of DJing. I attended workshops, watched tutorial videos, and read countless articles on the subject. Every spare moment was dedicated to understanding the technicalities and nuances of this art form.As the years passed, my skills began to flourish. I gained a profound understanding of beatmatching, song selection, and the importance of creating a seamless transition between tracks. The more I practiced, the more I realized that Deejaying is not merely about playing music but curating an unforgettable experience for the audience.In 2009, I took a leap of faith and started my own DJ business. At the time, the industry was fiercely competitive, with numerous talented individuals vying for the spotlight. However, I refused to be discouraged. I believed in my abilities and knew that with perseverance and dedication, I would carve a niche for myself.I started by performing at local events and parties, steadily cultivating a loyal following. Over time, the number of gigs increased, and I found myself on bigger stages, playing alongside established DJs and artists within the South African music industry. Each performance was an opportunity to showcase my talent and connect with people through the power of music.As my reputation grew, so did my desire to push the boundaries
