Sounds of SarahLynn DJ

Hudson, NH, USA

DJing since 2003, SarahLynn's style has developed into a rare eclectic breed of expasive genre clashing and keeping her audience on their toes. She has played at venues all around New England and expanded to areas such as Virginia Beach, Brooklyn, and The Jersey Shore. During Covid 19, she embraced a new found love for livestreaming, which she now does multiple times a week, in her basement studio. One of the minorities who have opted to stick to their Vinyl roots, she still plays vinyl and uses a DVS system to access an expansive and ever growing list of tracks, new and old, while sometimes incorporating CDJs and a controller as a rare sight. While her passion for Jungle and Drum 'n' Bass remains at the forefront, her style has expanded to more broad areas of deep, disco, and funky House, along with Speed Garage and embracing the nostaglia of the early 2000's with Hard House and Booty/Ghetto House. Many are caught off guard when she throws in a old-school Happy Hardcore set, which she has a strong love for the genre and its connection to early jungle amen breaks. Labeling her style is nearly impossible because she incorporates so many different genres, and has something to offer for everyone in just about every set she performs. Her fast beat-matching and 3 hour mixes will be sure to keep you coming back for more, never to be sure where the energy is going to quite land on any given day. She incorporates other fellow DJs often, and likes to "play it by ear" and never pre- plans any of her sets, except for maybe an idea of what she wants to start with. Be prepared for some fun energetic dancing in her video livestreams because she often will be caught jumping around unlike any other DJs you have seen before, as her roots in shuffle and house dancing are observed along with her talents and experience as a long standing underground DJ and turntablist.
