Wez G is a dance music Producer. He cover a wide range of styles from House, Chillout, Techno, Drum & Bass and Pop Music. Wez G does a lot of the vocals on his own recordings and also collaborates with other vocalists on some of his productions.
Wez G has been a DJ since 1995 when Shuffle was founded in his hometown of Caldicot, Monmouthshire, Wales, United Kingdom. Wez moved down to London when he was 18 and embarked upon a professional DJ career, performing with many top DJs, in some exceptional nightclubs and also running his own events around the country. Shuffle coaches used to travel from Wales and The West, full of clubbers, to the very best nightclubs to see Wez G perform as a DJ for Shuffle.
Later Shuffle set up the highly rated Set Sail with Shuffle boat parties which sailed on the River Severn in Worcester, also out of Bristol Harbour and on the River Thames in London.
The Shuffle DJ Academy was set up in 2001 and Wez G taught thousands of people across South Wales, the art of DJing using turntables. The work was done in youth clubs, community centres, Duke Of Edinburgh Award Schemes and a vast array of people got involved from youngsters, to homeless, to recovering drug addicts, disabled, deaf children, council workers, young offenders, and private lessons could also be arranged. The government paid for this work through local Newport and Monmouthshire councils and Arts Council Wales.
Wez G moved heavily into the tech sector as a DJ and has published a wide range of DJ Mixes, podcasts and Radio shows in various online locations as well as on his official website wezg.co.uk
Wez G started making moves more seriously as a Producer back in 2024 although he has been tinkering with Ableton Live for many years prior to this and does use it to make a lot of the podcasts.
Apart from working in the music industry, Wez G is currently studying an International Relations (BA) degree at the Open University. He also works for the Labour Party in Monmouthshire and is in Severnside branch. He is a member of renowned thinktank, Chatham House, which is the Royal Society for International Affairs. For the future, studio breakthroughs seem to be happening so Wez G looks forward to consistently releasing high quality music for you to enjoy as fans and listeners.
Clubs in the UK that Wez G has played include Ministry of Sound, Velvet Underground, The Cross, Lakota, Chuff Chuff, Miss Moneypennys, The Gardening Club, Plastic People, Sound Republic, Emporium, Bonds, Legends, GloBar, Lost Weekend, Cafe Blue, Brunel Rooms, V3, The Cotton Club, London Zoo, Turnmills. He has DJed in Sweden, Tahiti and New Zealand.
