Binaural Goat - Moulay Bouchta

Series of binaural recordings of grazing goats made in Moulay Bouchta in July 2017. Omnidirectional microphones have been attached directly to the goat's ears, in order to render her auditive perspective via playback using headphones. This approach allows for the de-centering of the human – the goat keeper's speech and calls, and other human-made sounds – in order to reveal the goat's subjectivity, or at least as a tentative first step towards it. The project will be further developped into an installation - Becoming Goat - in collaboration with Abdeljalil Saouli and local people.
