Robert "Topnotchpro1" Fleming has been in the midst of hip-hop culture for decades. From breakdancing and beatboxing in Jr. high/High school in the 80's, to rapping in the 90's at local festivals and events in his home state, Ohio. As years passed and "regular" jobs became stale, "Topnotchpro1" continued thinking what to do next. Because of his love of beatboxing and music, he began his next journey: beatmaking. Armed with just a desktop and music program, Acid Music, he began making beats reminiscent of the state where hip hop began: New York. Time passed and he became better at his craft and the essentials of what it took to make great beats. Now in the 2000's, with a laptop, a new improved Acid Music and FL Studio, "Topnotchpro1" has made many beats (maybe 500-700) over time. From sitting on his hard drive to now flooding music platforms, including Soundcloud (soundcloud.com/topnotchpro1) and Youtube, flows infectious beats ranging from Boombap to Techno. He's had opportunities to make soundtrack scores for recent and upcoming indie tv/film projects, including "THE BLUE MARVEL" (@nmse), "RED REINE" (@egyptx) and other placements thru "TOPNOTCH PRODUCTIONS". Having an array of beats on his first EP, "BETWEEN THE LINES", listeners will have feelings of hip hop nostalgia ("Bob Ya Head") to trap moods ("Acura") to a mashup of Latin culture and trap ("Spanglish"). With more projects coming, "Topnotchpro1" is vying for the attention of the real beat lovers.
