THE TEMPERTON EXPERIENCE (DJ Relentless pays tribute to Rod Temperton)

I normally do tribute mixes for legendary DJs, but when I heard about the passing of Rod Temperton it brought back a lot of my early years of buying records and becoming a DJ. Although many probably don’t know who he is or what he wrote or produced I bet we have all heard his work. From artists like Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan, Patti Austin, George Benson, Donna Summer and Michal McDonald to his brilliant work with Quincy Jones and even his own group Heatwave Mr. Temperton created a unique sound that ushered in Disco and 80s Dance music. So, I have sandwiched some of his best works between his two biggest hits with Heatwave. I even found a few remixes of some of the ballads he produced. I hope I have done him justice with this mix.
