Fields Of The Sun

An improvisation based on a D drone. Recorded using a Micro Korg for a light drone, an acoustic bass guitar tuned to DADA and using (in part) a glass slide. Other instruments were then added on, including acoustic guitar (tuned to DADGAD) and various percussion.

The birdsong was recorded along the Cornish coast and countryside.

All of the instruments were recorded in the same spot using a single ribbon microphone hanging from the centre of a Mongolian Yurt.

No modulation, reverb, delay or other such effects have been used.
