21 Years Of Goa Trance, part 08 - 1982 - 2009

This series has been centered on the classics of goa and psychedelic trance, but this trip we go back to proto-goa, and with the opening genre-defining masterpiece from 1982 proto-proto-goa. In 1982 I was 7, clearly too young to get what this new sounding music was. Hell in 1991 I was still discovering the evolving dance music scene here in the UK - unaware of the proto-goa movement that had happened in Europe and on the other side of the world. What amazes me is I thought I knew this genre, but again I find the proto-goa and new beat movements really defined the sound of the first wave of goa and then later psychedelic trance.

This series is finally starting to move in to the more recent years, what are your thoughts on that? Would you prefer to keep it classic, or more recent?
